For ECUs that do not process a raw wideband signal, a controller must be used. Flex Fuel support is available if desired. ECU Patch Harness - This optional item eliminates the need to cut into your engine harness for accessories. Grounding Kit - Our Kit ties a number if engine components to the body of the car and ensures that you will not have issues resulting from poor grounds. The Grounding Kit utilizes Ultra High temp fiberglass sleeving to allow installation under or around exhaust components.

Very flexible mounting options allow you to connect the block, head, battery tray, alternator case and chassis to completely eliminate all grounding issues. Most Nissan to Nissan swaps can simply adjust the tachometer to compensate. Plug-n-Play vs Universal - Plug-n-Play harnesses connect to your car's underhood fuse box for power and to connectors under the dash for gauges etc.

Universal harnesses do not need an underhood fusebox to connect to and the wiring for gauges and warning lights is provided as a 'flying lead' which are bare wires labeled with their function.

If you used a combination of LHD and RHD chassis connectors, please contact us as our harnesses will need modification. Don't See It? Chances are we can do it! Please make sure you have prepared for this as each install is different. The kits include brackets, mounting hardware, rubber boots and contact springs and can be added to your order by selecting them from the Options list to the right. Install on other engines will require a custom mounting solution and extra parts - please contact us for details.

What ecu's or piggybacks are people using on their 1jz's??? Hi, I have a fairly stock 1jz, i have upgraded to cc injectors as i got them at a good price and they will come in handy when i increase my power. Im using a rising rate fuel reg and running air fuels of about And on 15psi and higher iam starting to get some detonation, so im thinking i definately need to pull some timing out I wanted to use a haltech piggyback but have been told they arent much good on a 1jz if it has larger injectors.

I want to see how much power i can possibley get out of factory turbos. What are other people using and what are your suggestions???? Thanks in advance. Re: What ecu's or piggybacks are people using on their 1jz's??? Not the fanciest option around, but it did exactly what I wanted. It really depends what you want the ECU to control in-car I meanand how many dollars you have to play with.

Stock turbos can generally pull around rwkw reliably. There are people making more, and people breaking them with less, but aim for that and it's a fairly safe bet although the turbos are out of their efficiency range by that stage. We have improved the design of the EMU based on customer feedback and have kept the price at a similar level.

EMU Classic is designed to operate the most advanced and complex engines presently available. The adaptable firmware means the most awkward crank trigger patterns can be utilized allowing future proofing for new patterns not yet released. It easily matches the functionality of other stand-alone management systems with multiple inputs and outputs.

All of this provides greater flexibility, reduces costs and negates the requirement for external or supplemental signal conditioning control systems and the associated wiring that other management systems require. Map switching, launch control, adaptive Lambda control, flex fuel and wheel slip control are among many of the software controllable options available.

Do Not Add.The 1JZ engine was fitted to many models of Toyota and Lexus, from family oriented models to the more sporty models such as the Supra. The 1JZ engine was a naturally aspirated 6 cylinder 2. A later turbo charged model was introduced with a GTE suffix and this makes an interesting proposition for the tuner. It was replaced in with the 4GR-FSE engine, to help meet ever tightening emissions regulations and requirements.

Whilst it is possible it is not really cost effective, especially when you can source a 2JZ or 1JZ-GTE engine with a turbo installed and drop this straight in. If you insist on turbocharging you need to reduce the compression ratio, modify the head slightly and add an aftermarket ECU to control the fuelling and turbo.

Essentially you will commit to a costly strip down and rebuild of the engine. So it makes economic sense to do an engine swap if you are looking for forced induction rather than converting your existing engine. When talking about the best optimum for your 1JZ engine, we are going to tuning mods that give the biggest return for your cash. Significant gains can be made from cam upgrades.

Motorsport cams, push up the high end rpm power band but as a result the car will not idle smoothly and low end power nearly always suffers. A longer valve duration can alter the torque band and on most engines the exhaust and intake durations do not need to match, although most cams and tuners use matched pairs there are some advantages to extending the intake or exhaust durations. Intake take the air during the suck phase from the air filter and allow it to be drawn into the engine cylinders.

Structure and rate of flow of the Intake can make a noticeable difference to to fuel atomisation and engine efficiency on the 1JZ. We often see headers are begging for aftermarket tuning parts, although a few OEM provide reasonably good headers. Fitting big valve kits, carrying out port matching and head flowing will also improve torque, the fantastic side effect is it will raise potential for a better torque increase on other tuning mods. Fitting lower compression pistons, rods and sorting out the oil flow to the turbo are essential considerations, ideally you should also fit forged parts for added strength and resilience.

Thankfully these engines are very robust and reliable but there are a few things to look out for. The VVT System can be problematic if not properly maintained and serviced, this usually causes a rough idle at first and later misfires and non starting issues. High oil consumption on older engines is usually down to worn valves and pistons, replace this if there is excessive smoke.Looking for the best in aesthetics, weight savings and reliability out of your harness?

Product Description Looking for the best in aesthetics, weight savings and reliability out of your harness? When I select my Pos. Bug or something I'm missing somewhere? Car runs fine. A70 supra and gauge cluster is a problem.

Anyone successfully has working rpm and clt? Pic for attention. Wiring question here, so I have my emu black powered on engine OFF and I'm playing with the fuel pump relays, When I'm ground triggering them on then off it seems to interfere with emu black from time to time and it's fluctuating rpm, vss, cam sync and I can hear a coil fire once engine is off. How do I stop this from happening? My thoughts it's flyback current? I have the emu wired directly to the battery and ground, ign trigger is from the fuse block I made.

The fuel pump wiring and relay is completely separate from the engine harness. Again this only happens when I remove the ground trigger from a relay not controlled by the emu. Hey guys, Anyone have any great info in regards to fine tuning acc enrichment and dec enrichment? I have been following the tips within the software, but no matter what I change, it seems to not do anything.

Every time I try to accelerate it struggles and missfires and even dies. The car runs and idles fine otherwise. Engine is a stock standard m62tub Has anyone done this and can share any information? Hall effect sensor primary trigger scope pattern, trying to use scope function to check for correct sensor operation, can't seem to get scope to work, have power earth and 5v at sensor from emu, seems I need to push blue arrow to get it working but it will not appear active always dull and does nothing, any ideas?

ECU state : Inactive during crankingAnyone ever have this issue?

ecu master 1jz vvti

Tested some outputs that work, dbw works, but when I crank the car it doesn't change the ecu state like it used to nor does it seem to trigger the coils they do work during output test though. I was running this setup on a 1jz, but switched to a 2jz vvti. Harness is almost identical except I added the vvti solenoid wiring, and changed a couple small things. I did update to 2. I'm planning to go back over the harness and updating it to 2. This tune ran the car back when it was a 1jz, i just changed a few settings to account for that.

I just don't recall paying much attention to the ecu state since it just worked before. Hey just installed my first stand alone, having ignition problems, got nothing on the scope for triggers, do have green syc light when cranking and intermittent rpm signal, any ideas? I have a supercharged 2zz-ge engine using a Rotrex charger. Purple dot is where I was planing on it going with the bov sat up top for aesthetic more than practicality.

Need some help to figure out how to make my oil temp sensor work.
